Who We Are

Heather Snipper has been a financial planner for over 25 years. Initially employed by a large financial planning firm, she started her own company, Snipper Financial Planning, in 1988.

Ms. Snipper received her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (formerly the Chartered Financial Planner) designation in 1985 (this is an academic title) and her Registered Financial Planner (R.F.P.) designation (which is a professional title) in 1987.

Over the past 25 years, she has conducted numerous seminars and lectures including teaching at Algonguin College for 5 years. Ms. Snipper instructed students registered in credit courses in business finance on financial planning. She has written for such magazines as Canadian MoneySaver and Physicians Management as well as newspapers such as the The Ottawa Citizen. Ms. Snipper is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners and sat on the Board of Directors for eleven years. She hosted her own television show for several years and went on to do a weekly financial spot on a local CTV affiliate in Ottawa for 6 years.
